Slow but steady wins the race

More progress today.  We've missed using our grill, so I asked that they put it back for us to grill this weekend.

It appears, though, that the pool work won't be started until after New Year's Day.  Of course, we won't be using it anyhow, but that means that the patio won't be finished either since the pool people have to do something where the pool deck meets the pool wall first.

I think that they are going to start working on the driveway next week.  Keep our fingers crossed!

Progress!

I think that the other truck was "on the way" via Chicago. It arrived this morning, bright and early.

There are only two tiles per box, and each box weighs about 70 pounds! Those puppies aren't going anywhere!

This is the progress for today.  I'm really pleased at how the light-colored tile makes the lanai look larger.

The tile is here!

This morning, a big semi truck came by to drop off the tiles.  Oh, and this is only half of them.  The other truck is on its way.

We also have two pallets of the pavers that were removed; one of Craig's coworkers is going to take them to his house.

The waterline tile has been delivered

So, are you wondering which tile we picked?  Well, wonder no more.

It was delivered today, and will be installed very soon.  It will go right under the coping around the pool as well as in the spa and on the outside of the spa.

It's demo day!

Our contractor was here before 8:00 as he promised.  They have been working very hard all day, and here's what has been accomplished!  The pool area should be completely demoed (plants, pool coping, floor) by the end of the day tomorrow.

We have to change our tile selection because the one we selected would not be tall enough.  I think we are going with the one on the right.

I can't wait to get rid of this coping.  It's so ugly!
